Tixel® and How it Works
TMAR is a technology developed by Novoxel®. It uniquely combines motion and heat with a medical- grade titanium tip. This proprietary non-laser, fractional technology, transfers thermal energy to the skin quickly and safely. Energy is emitted through a matrix of tiny pyramid-shaped pins made of biocompatible materials covering a treatment area of 1cm2.
The TMAR Titanium tip dehydrates and fractures the stratum corneum upon contact, with minimal underlying coagulation. The tip does not perforate the tissue. Treatment intensity is precisely controlled by tip-to-tissue contact time and pulse duration. The longer the pulse duration, the greater the amount of energy transfer to the tissue. Because the tiny tip pyramids hold a limited amount of energy, burns, bleeding and tissue charring are prevented. The thermal transfer results in an array of tiny non-ablative coagulation sites (micro-crusting).
